Amplifying donations through a simplified giving experience

We worked with Make-A-Wish Australia to redesign their website that streamlines donation giving, makes content updates simple and a better user experience that lifts supporter engagement. The new website has led to higher donation conversions and stronger storytelling.

Challenge

Make-A-Wish Australia grants life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses, supporting their treatment journey. Their mission is to grant the wish of every eligible child, recognising the positive impact a wish can have on the children, their families and communities.

However, their website was outdated, making it difficult to navigate and update content. These issues limited their ability to share stories and resulted in low donation conversions.

Solution

We delivered a complete website redesign focused on usability, storytelling and ease of management, while making it easier for supporters to donate.

  • Stakeholder discovery
Ran collaborative workshops to understand priorities and develop user personas, ensuring the solution met the needs of all visitors.
  • Streamlined donations
Integrated an API-powered donation form for quick and simple one-off and recurring donations.
  • Easier content management
Implemented a flexible, intuitive CMS and provided hands-on training for the team to manage content updates with confidence.
  • Simplified navigation
Site structure was improved so visitors can easily find stories, campaigns and wish information.

Impact

The new Make-A-Wish website delivers a clean, responsive experience that has strengthened supporter engagement and makes donating easier.
