Challenge
BMW Group Australia had built a premium showroom companion app used across 60+ dealerships in Australia and New Zealand, but had no way to prove its value to leadership. Basic GA4 pageview data, manual Excel reporting and no dealership-level visibility meant the team couldn't see how customers were engaging with the app or whether the investment was paying off.
Solution
We designed and implemented a comprehensive analytics strategy, starting with a Goals and Metrics Framework that translated BMW's business objectives into measurable KPIs before any technical work began.

Impact
BMW Australia now has a single source of truth for showroom app performance, with 235 active devices tracked in real time across Australia and New Zealand. For the first time, BMW Group Australia stakeholders can see exactly how customers are engaging with the platform and use that evidence to drive investment decisions. PostHog also consolidated product analytics, session replay and in-app survey capability into one platform at no additional cost.
